Realising and restoring site potential in the uk

There is an increasing demand for land for housing, retail and commercial developments as the uk population expands.

Within established urban areas there are many vacant sites with unused buildings, closed-down shops, factories and warehouses that are not being used to their maximum potential.

The Environment Agency has suggested that “concentrating development on brownfield sites can help to make the best use of existing services such as transport and waste management. It can encourage more sustainable lifestyles by providing an opportunity to recycle land, clean up contaminated sites, and assist environmental, social and economic regeneration. It also reduces pressure to build on greenfield land and helps protect the countryside.” (Ref. Environment Agency: Position Paper 2003).

our vision

Edgewest Group has invested in many areas of vacant land, vacant commercial properties and land previously used as petrol stations.

These sites have then been transformed and redeveloped by Edgewest Group, with appropriate decontamination and planning applications completed.

Edgewest Group has worked in close partnership with a number of banks and institutions over the years and secured over £100m in primary financing. Equity financing is sourced through internal resources and joint venture partnerships.

Whilst expanding their portfolio, Edgewest Group has worked closely with tenants to meet their varied needs. This in turn has decreased vacancy rates and helped fulfill each tenant’s future property requirements.
